Itinerary

THE TOUR Begin your adventure by meeting your guide and boarding a custom super jeep in Glacier Lagoon, where we’ll drive toward Breiðamerkurjökull, a glacial tongue of Vatnajökull. During the journey, your guide will share insights about Iceland’s glaciers, ice caves, volcanoes, and culture. Our tour explores 100% natural ice caves, which change constantly with the weather and seasons. The specific cave we visit depends on the day’s conditions, which may involve a short hike on the glacier. Expect to walk 3-4 km overall, so good health and walking comfort are essential. The tour will be a minimum of 3 hours, and a maximum of 4 hours (depending on which cave we visit). Before entering, you’ll receive a safety briefing and gear like helmets and crampons/micro spikes. Each experience is unique, with stunning views of vibrant ice colors from blue to emerald green and black. We’ll guide you to the most beautiful, accessible ice cave available, making each tour an unforgettable experience.

We had an amazing experience, getting to experience the wonder of the ice cave, with natural light filtering through with different colors of blue, this plus the short walk across the glacier and learning about the constantly changing scenery was truly a unique experience

Amazing experience from start to finish. Guide Tomas was excellent. We had the early start so got to see the sunrise and also one of the first groups on the glazier and in the cave. Due to ever changing conditions, your very own unique experience. A real must for your trip to Iceland followed by diamond beach! Well worth the long drive from the capital. Great work Ice Explorers!!

Absolutely incredible- best glacier tour I’ve ever been on…and I’ve been on several! Holt and Jesse were funny and informative guides with unlimited knowledge of the glacier and Iceland! They ensured our safety throughout the cave and glacier climb and times it so that our small group didn’t have to wait or feel crowded. Furthermore they were incredible photographers! 10/10 don’t miss

Wonderful Ice Caving Activity

Despite the terrible weather, we had so much fun on this ice caving trip. Considering this is the first time experience for us in doing such activities, everything went so smoothly. Our guide Tasha (hope I wrote the name correctly) was very knowledgeable and helpful. From the ride to the ice cave with the monster truck, helping the participants ready, to explaining every little bit of the experience was top notch. My 9 years old boy enjoyed it very much.
