We had a fantastic time ice climbing on the largest glacier in Europe, with the help of our highly professional guides. In comparison to other tour providers we saw on the glacier, they provide everything to keep you safe (other providers may not even give you helmets or crampons), offer very useful information throughout the trip (we learned a lot about glaciers), and the ice climbing was a fun, although exhausting experience. We had zero previous experience, and still managed very well - the guides are helpful and encouraging, so give it a go! I'd recommend layers of clothing (in June the weather can vary from quite warm to icy cold ) with some waterproofs on top, but make sure you have room to move. Also, the bus taking you the glacier leaves on the dot, so make sure you arrive well before the allocated time slot. 100% recommended!
