Understanding that ice caves change constantly because they’re completely natural and they melt each season, we were very fortunate to come at a time when one of the biggest and more extensive caves had formed. That alone made the pictures amazing. But we believe what made the amazing also cement in our heart was the company. Since it is a smaller company we got to talk more with each person who booked and the owner’s daughter who was our guide. She told us about how she’s been exploring caves since she was 6 years old, how her father was a fisherman but after an accident was forced to find another way to support their family and thrives showing people their country by way of tours. It was personable and since 2 people didn’t show up last minute, the remaining 5 of us talked and laughed freely. We felt safe, had a great time and would definitely recommend them to anyone.

Me and my husband went on our ice cave tour with Boggi earlier this week and had an amazing experience! Boggi usually runs tours with up to 6 people but me and my husband were fortunate enough to be the only ones on our tour so it felt extra special! Boggi is so passionate and knowledgeable about his country so we definitely learnt a thing or two if not more on our tour. I'm so glad that I booked with Boggi as we saw other tour groups of 10+ people and they were all queuing up and waiting to go into the caves. Boggi took us to two different caves and both were very quiet so we had plenty of time to take photos and didn't feel rushed whatsoever. One was a beautiful crystal blue ice cave and another one was the Black Pearl. To get to the ice caves, we had to walk quite a bit away from where the car was parked and it felt like walking on Mars! We even got to experience a mini hike across the glacier, which I don't believe those on bigger tours get to do as they go to the caves nearest to the parking lot, which don't require hiking across the glacier to get to the caves. I have no hesitation whatsoever and 100% recommend anyone to book with Boggi if you want a more unique, personalised experience!

Our guide Boggi made this experience unforgettable from the moment we climbed on his "monster truck" til when he dropped us back at the glacier lagoon. His passion for his "office", his country, the wilderness and sharing all of the above with foreigners that are looking to spot the magic of Iceland is nowhere else to find. He has been patient, caring and enthusiastic. We can't recommend this tour enough.

Boggi’s tour is outstanding. His vehicle can carry 6 and he runs this operation alongside his daughter. Our tour had 4 total, and we had such a blast! The caves are stunning - a definitive highlight in our Iveland trip. It’s appreciated that Boggi keeps the group sizes small, and he targets times when the caves are less crowded - maximizing your experience and photos. Highly recommended when your travels take you to Southern Iceland!
